Sunway Medical Research Ethics Committee (SREC)

Sunway Medical Research Ethics Committee (SREC) is a committee established to provide independent, competent, and timely ethical reviews for proposed research studies.

SREC's primary role is to review all research proposals, ensuring the dignity, rights, safety, and well-being of all research subjects are protected.

Committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards, SREC ensures that all research is conducted in accordance with both international and Malaysian Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines. The committee comprises members from both medical and non-medical sectors, ensuring objectivity and independence from the clinicians conducting the research.

Registered with the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA), SREC is one of the 13 Ethics Committees recognized by the Drug Control Authority (DCA).
